We have an exciting opportunity to work within one of the most innovative and successful self-help initiatives for homeless people. Using a company vehicle, you will be responsible for distributing magazines to Big Issue vendors in and around the home counties, encouraging vendors to maximise their sales and personal potential, whilst promoting the support services available. You must have experience of cash-handling, keeping accurate records, be a competent user of Excel, Word and email and be able to work using your own initiative. You also need excellent communication skills and the ability to work under pressure. You must reside in the home counties and hold a full, clean driving licence. An understanding of the practical and emotional needs of homeless people is desirable but commitment to the social objectives of The Big Issue is essential.
