Previous experience of caring for or working with children / the client group is required. Knowledge of first aid, preferred. To escort and care for clients who are transported on Council vehicles between their home (or at pre-arranged pick up point) until . they are placed in the care of a school / centre, and similarly on the return journey. Care duties vary according the client’s needs but may include assisting the client into the vehicle, ensuring safety regulations are met on the vehicle, preventing any disruptive behaviour and attending to physical needs or incidents – reporting such occurrences to appropriate staff. Successful applicants are required to provide an enhanced disclosure. Disclosure expense will be met by employer.
