We are looking for someone comfortable analysing problems and designing, plus implementing, high performance Java back ends. As part of a small team, the position will involve heavy exposure to Traders and so the candidate should have excellent Business knowledge and be a strong communicator. They should also be adept at working independently and willing to. participate in all aspects of the project lifecycle in order to get the project delivered. Skills Required: solid core Java experience Design and development of multi-threaded real time systems OO analysis and design Experience of accessing and writing queries against SQL serverSybaseOracle Market data platform experience RV RFA Wombat An appreciation of the Cash Equities business An understanding of the entire project lifecycle, from analysis and design through coding and testing to deployment.
